About Our Buyback Program

AQMS Automotive, LLC is dedicated to helping the environment by reducing harmful emissions created by older vehicles. Unlike many "Donate Your Vehicle" programs, we do not offer "tax breaks." We are a privately owned and operated company that pays you for your vehicle through a company check that can be cashed immediately with no waiting period! The criteria for eligibility are listed below (for a complete list of eligibility criteria, click here):

1. Your vehicle must be driven in for inspection; towed vehicles will be rejected. Vehicles having excessive leaks will be rejected.

2. Your vehicle must be currently registered in one of these counties: Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County, or Riverside County. It must be registered as an operable vehicle for at least 24 consecutive months prior to the scheduled Buyback date.

3. Your vehicle must not require a smog check for a minimum of 60 days prior to the scheduled  Buyback date. If your vehicle has failed a smog check 61 to 90 days prior to a the scheduled buy date it must be successfully retested and proof of smog-check approval must be provided.

4. Your vehicle must be driven in to the Buyback site by its own power. You will be required to start your vehicle's engine using a keyed ignition, turn the engine on and off, and restart it. Additionally, you will be asked to drive the vehicle 25 ft. forward and in reverse.

5. All legal owners listed on the vehicle's title must be present at the time of the transaction unless an agreement prior to the Buyback date has been made. If you are not the legal owner of the vehicle you must provide the California DMV-authorized Power of Attorney form at the Buyback site.
